In queste settimane il lavoro ha limitato i miei interventi sul blog e ho lasciato indietro numerosi feed che mi sto rileggendo poco per volta. Tra questi c'è anche il blog di Nick Bradbury, sviluppatore di FeedDemon.
Rileggendo gli interventi ho notato che Nick ha pubblicato ad inizio mese un post dedicato all'eterna sfida contenuti totali o parziali, argomento sul quale ho speso qualche parola recentemente.
I see that the whole full vs. partial feed content debate has risen from the ashes again, and while I'm probably in the minority here, speaking as an end user I actually prefer partial content.
I like to scan the headlines of my feeds looking for items of interest, and in the absence of descriptive titles, partial content gives me an idea of what each item is about. Showing full-text for every item gets in my way, since I don't want to see the full content until I've decided whether an item is interesting to me.
